The Scale Soaring Association (S.S.A.) is a special interest group made up of people who share the same love and passion for building and flying scale models of both modern and vintage sailplanes. For communication between our members we have a regular newsletter which is always filled to the brim with stories of people's models, building tips, great days of flying and just the occasional funny anecdote to break things up.
At Swan Hill on 26 April 2003 a group of people were selected for a committee to run the newley born Scale Soaring Association who's purpose is to promote the interest of Scale Model Sailplanes in Australia. Not all details are there yet but they will be as soon as possiable. Membership is open to all - for more information, please click here Scale sailplanes can range from small under 2m wingspan models through to one third scale monsters of over 7m wingspan, we have models at both ends of the spectrum in our group.
