Take a minute to be inspired by Barry De Kuyper's stunning vintage sailplane.
A 1/4 scale Granau Baby 2b Krick kit purchased from Germany at a good price 12 months ago.
An eighty's style kit of ply and balsa, heaps of accurately cut parts, some crush cut but they all fitted.
The ailerons were a bit tricky to build with washout- an accurate jig setup worked fine.
The spoilers are scale type as per the real thing opening top and bottom.
Covering is Sig Coverall doped on with two coats of Nitrate dope and three coats of Butyrate dope to seal.
Paint is acrilic auto enamel sprayed on.
It was test flown by Col Collyer at our last aerotow day- a tad nose heavy and ailerons movement reduced.
Overall a great model to build.
And of course it flew straight off the building board with no trim adjustment what so ever, eh Barry! (Crash)
