HAPPY NEW YEAR for 2010.
The SSA Committee wishes everyone a very Happy New Year for 2010 and trusts that you and your family are well and had a wonderful Christmas.
2010 is shaping up to be a very exciting year.
Many events are being scheduled around Australia and if you have an event of interest, why not shoot an email through to us and we can arrange to put your event on the SSA website.
Lameroo is an event worth putting in your diary and so is Camperdown, Swan Hill, Jerilderie, Cobram, Bendigo and Tappanappa if you live in SA.
I have been asked by various members if Bordertown could ever be on the cards again?
So I am asking all of you if you would like to participate in November 2010 in the "Back to Bordertown 2010 event".
This event would be celebrating 10 years since Bordertown 2000. If we get enough interest the Committee will swing into action to make it happen. But we need your interest and support. Bordertown 2000 was an amazing event and a lot of hard work was put into this event by Alexis Scott, Ian Moreland and Paul Clift, just to name a few, but man was it great with well over 100 people in attendance and 180 odd scale sailplanes and tugs on the Bordertown-Keith Gliding Club aerodrome.
Shoot us an email to show your support, or use the forum.
Many of you that read the SSA and UK Soaring forums will know of John Greenfield, John is an avid scale sailplane and tug flyer. John will be visiting Australia in February, if you are interested in meeting with him, be it as an individual or club, drop him a line, I know he would be keen to say hello as he drives his motor home from Adelaide to the Eastern States. I am sure he will just love our hot weather. I have arranged for John to have an aerotow here in SA at Milang, visit a local Hobby Store and a BBQ that evening of the 11th Feb, all are welcome to attend. Contact John via the UK Soaring Forum or shoot me an email for his contact..
Please remember to keep sending us your updates and information, SSA is here for the Scale Soaring enthusiast in Australia.
Hear from you all soon.
