For those of you that love to get amongst local scale flyers and meet new gliding and tugging enthusiasts then consider the following; that is if you want a fix of Scale Soaring in South Australia. The Barossa Valley Model Aircraft Club are delighted to advise that they will be hosting a scale aerotow event on the ANZAC Day Long weekend for all who need to fly.
It is hoped that this will become a regular yearly event. The Barossa Club will cater for Saturday lunch and evening tea, Sunday breakfast and lunch. Camp at the field or get some accommodation locally, either way it will be a great weekend!!! Put this in your calendar now!!!! The 24th and 25th of April. Evening/ night flying at the club on Saturday night so fit the lights on your electric or glider for that matter boys and girls.
The Barossa has so much to offer, drop the girls off for a bit of wine tasting! And best of all we can fly slope or flat field as we have hills all around us.
This is really a first and a great way to get together with your mates and foster the fun of flying. Everyone is welcome Scale flyers or not. Bring along any size Sailplane, Glider or tug plane big or small. Whatever it is bring it along and have fun. See you there. Contact me
